Among the mundane travel bloggers, there is Sarah Funk, the quirky adventurer. We took on Sarah's personal / professional branding - SarahFunky - with a new updated logo and look, including various print ephemera and social media branding. Additionally, we've have produced video interviews and photo content for her Youtube channel. You can visit the SarahFunky instagram here.
The overall SarahFunky visual identity is bold, type-focused and, well, funky. We wanted to create a foundation for her brand that supports her unique personality, bursting to life with playful color bars and thick, recognizable font.
We created the type logo with one of our favorite and most versatile fonts, Chubb, and type variants of the famously trendy Brandon Grotesque.
The Visual Identity
In addition to identity design, YouTube is Sarah's main traffic platform with over 100K subscribers which also needed a style overhaul. We implimented her playful and bright brand language to the SarahFunky channel. Using the same larger-than-life bold typeface and color palette, we provided a stand-out SarahFunky youtube channel style and brings a 'funk' her channel deserves.
New York Guides
To bring her expertise of New York City to the center of her offer, together with Sarah we created five, multipage neighborhood guides and weekend itineraries that span across Manhattan centered around food, fun and nightlife to populate her digital shop.
Each downloadable PDF includes robust location histories, guided maps, day-by-day activity breakdowns, budget estimates, and Sarah's personal recommendations.
